SkyperfecTV now has some info about the 85min special which will start airing in ch.183 PPV. It is a recap of the 1st stage to 3rd stage. It will also include a short info about the making of 4th stage.

This recap special will be available in PPV from December 27, 2003 - January 31, 2003. The fourth stage will start with the formation of Project D. I guess the first battle will be the AE86(Toyota Trueno) vs B6(Mazda Miata), which will followed by FD32(Mazda RX-7) vs RB25DET(Nissan Skyline R34). Initial D Fourth Stage will consist of 12 episodes, which will start April 2004. |

I doubt that there will be much question about Tokyopop handling the US release. However, one has to wonder what sales are like of Initial D, and if they'll keep at the property in the same manner.
