Same here. I'm trying to get into publishing, but alas I am up in Canada and there really isn't any manga going on here. Luckily I like other books too.

I hope the new editor will reverse some of the major damage that the previous one did to Shojo Beat, i.e. making it less girly "fashion and boys are my life!" and more of a female voice in manga and anime, which is still pretty dim in this industry.

I'll third that chorus. I'm in publishing, but I have too many roots in Seattle to just pick up and move to SanFran. Good luck to all who apply, though!
Oh! If you don't mind moving there you might want to apply anyway. Who knows, right? If they like you enough they might help pay for your move. Big companies do that sometimes.
