I got bored with the manga and stopped buying it, but I may pick up this volume and the next so I can have the backstory arc. I also watched this arc on CR, and it was pretty awesome.

There are certain series where I only buy pivotal volumes of the manga. I read it in SJ, but I won't dedicate the bookshelf space for the GN. I bought Naruto volume 27 for Kakashi Gaiden, I will buy One Piece once New World gets collected in GN form, and I will buy this and the next volume of Bleach, because Turn Back The Pendulum is my favorite part of the story.

While I like this arc, it was a bit annoying how before it started Ichigo was going to have his final one-on-one with Ulquiorra, and was suddenly interrupted.
