Hey...
I just finished the entire Love Hina manga (I really liked it) and I have two questions. 1) Are there any other good mangas that Ken Akamastsu (If I misspelled it, don't kill me) has published since Love Hina? 2) Is the Tenchi Manga any good, and if so, what mangas are there and in what order should I read them? 3) If you know of a good manga series, tell me. After I watched all the Love Hina anime, I bought the manga. Now I enjoy manga more than anime. -Thanks |

The Tenchi Muyo manga's are a mixed bag - some are good and some are bad, also the universe in it is semi-based on the OVA universe - but different. As for suggestions for manga, I would have to say Ghost in the Shell (Classic and different from the anime), Chobits, and Battle Angel Alitia.

1) Ken made a series called AI Ga Tomaranai (or A.I. Love You). Tokyopop will be releasing this manga starting next year.
2) I enjoyed all of the Tenchi series that i have read. They are No Need For Tenchi and The All New Tenchi Muyo. The No Need series is based quite heavily on the OVA series and it makes constant references to it <for example, they often say something like: "Check out episode 13 of the OVA for further details">. The No Need series is the first one with 12 volumes and the All New series is obviously the new one and is still being released. Also, the All New Tenchi is basically a continuation of the No Need. Same creator and everything, just with a different title. |

Del Rey will be publishing his new manga starting in April/May 2004. It's called "Mahou Sensei Negima" (Magical Teacher Negima), and its a lot like Love Hina in some respects. One guy, Tons of girls. But in this case, there are 31 girls, and the guy is an anime version of Harry Potter. He's from Wales, 10 years old, wears glasses, carries a staff, and has magical abilities. (See, his character is a total rip off, but i've since gotten over the fact.) He is assigned by his Magic Association to become a teacher at a Japanese middle school. Hilarity ensues.
![]() At first it seems like a sub-par Hina sequel, but then you can really start to get into it. Good stuff. |
