Why? Did anyone even watch this? At least they're not dubbing it, and it definitely not justify itself for a dub in the sales.

I did not only watched it, I also... you know. It had potential. The first 2 episodes were fairly interesting, but it went downhill FAST. I'm not even sure what happened in the end. The charatcers were OK, but the battles were very repetitive and everyone used the same one spell anyway "tsurugi to nare, waga codo". It got old fast.

Yep, and it's why I won't be buying it when it's released... unless the price is $20. It wasn't that bad, but it's certainly not going to make any high ratings in the Encyclopedia results.

It's slightly better than the average low-viewership shows that S23/ADV has licensed in the past. It was just kind of awkward and a lot of the references don't carry through well in the translation.

also, it helps if you know how to write code? maybe?

Whoever said $20 is not far from the truth.

It only aired a few years ago and even still I've never heard of it. Could this show be destined to appear in a future "Least essential anime" article? It looks/sounds painfully mediocre.

I watched it on Crunchyroll and thought it was alright. I wouldn't mind owning it; however, I wasn't expecting this to be licensed, since there's still a lot of excellent shows out there that aren't licensed.

Maybe? I'm a programmer, so I got all of the references, which did increase the cool factor, but it's more magic than programming anyway, haha.

When I read the title I though that the name sounded familiar but... is there really enough fans of this show to warrant a dvd release over here Question I've nothing against the show I've just never heard of anyone whose a fan of it before nor have I ever read anyone mentioning it like... ever.

I'm never going to see the rest of Kodocha or Yawara! and Banner of the Stars III and Dennō Coil still haven't been licensed. But I'm going to be able to buy this on DVD. Do I really have that bad of taste? Laughing

I think whoever picks this up for $35 or so, without watching most of it beforehand is going to be sorely disappointed.

I really wish they would have licensed Kanamemo instead.. or any number of other unlicensed shows on CR

I watched it. Actually, I believe I re-watched it, although I don't recall if I finished it the second time through.

I don't want to be hatin', but this show is baaaaaad. Not so bad it's good or entertainingly trashy bad, but boring and bland bad. I'd rate this up with Cosprayers as one the biggest wastes of time out there. And really, what's this show's selling point? I wasn't impressed with the art. The plot is wretchedly stupid. The voice acting is generic. Magic as computer code? It's not like that's never been done before, or better. Are the characters some sort of moe that I am immune to or something? If there's one thing I don't understand, it's why someone would willing spend money on this. Oh well, if it'll sell, it'll sell, but Sentai won't be getting any of my cash with this one.

If they are a fan of the series they would purchase it. I've never heard of the series before so I will most likely not buy it unless I rent it first.

Section23 will license Kanamemo soon, I know it.
