A new Macross series!......can't wait.......hopefully, this series will pan out better than Macross 7, which I thought was more about the music than the actual story......Macross continues to stay alive after more than 25 years, which is amazing in my opinion......Macross and Gundam still remain among the dominant sci-fi anime franchises after all these years........Personally, I'm hoping for a Lynn Minmay return.......Macross lives on!

Please no flying J-pop singers. We don't need another Bluegrass in Macross.

The Macross OVAs have been great.
Lets hope the next series will follow suit.

Great news! If a Robotech series comes out later on, I'll be on cloud 9

And the chances we'll see a legitimate dvd release in the US.... still negligible. Curses. I would love (LOVE!) to be able to buy Macross Zero on dvd. I might even pay Bandai prices for M0. Woe.
Is Shoji Kowamori actually doing something for this? Just mech designs for Nissan? I've seen his name thrown around a lot, but never attached to a definitive role. Director would be good. I think.

I hope they set the storyline during the time when Hikaru, Misa, Minmei and the Megaroad go missing. It'd be great to see what happens to the characters during that time as they never go into it again besides Macross Flashback 2012 (I think...I could be wrong). I like all the subsequent Macross projects after the original series and movie but, I'd like to see something involving the original cast versus some new characters...hmmm. Just have to see what happens.

Dude, I never noticed how similar Bluegrass and Basara are, lookin' at that picture. LOL. That's pretty cool. I wonder if the animators on Macross 7 were either fans of Silverhawks or maybe some of the same guys worked on the two shows, seeing as how Silverhawks was animated in Japan. Maybe an homage to Silverhawks? It'd seem unlikely but you never know I guess. I'm not sure how the Japanese view our action cartoons like Silverhawks or Thundercats....

The pinball machine in the beginning of Megazone 23 part II is a Silverhawks machine. I always wondered how well those shows did in Japan.
