Forgot title of Comic (Manga) Here are some clues?

Greetings ANN Fans, I am looking for a Comic (Manga) Title, but forgot the name and need your help. Here are some clues I remember.

Teenage School Boy

Plane Crash

Escapes form Cyborgization before they completed it and leaving his Head vulnerable. Has very little understanding of what he is capable of.

Helps new school girl, fight bullies, but keeps a low profile.

Her Relative is a Cyberneticist. Who make a helmet for him.

Mercenaries is Landmates/Powered Armor attack him and full scale war erupts.

The Corporation wants him back and is using the fight to test their design.

Comic Panels are North American Style, Art is Appleseed Style. Black and White.

Found in dollar bin. Between 1980s and 1990s.

Not sure what manga that might be, but you might want to ask your question in this thread....you'll probably get an answer faster.
