For the Candyfans who dearly want to see the rebroadcasting of CC animation again, it's important that you please participate in this Candy Candy PETITION for international Candyfans!

http://aupaysdecandy.free.fr/vote/petition2.php3

TOEI Animation doubts that there are enough Candyfans world-wide who would be interested in seeing this beloved animation again. Unfortunately, the lawsuit with Igarashi and the illegal selling of CC Video bootlegs are also preventing them from releasing the videos for broadcasting and purchase. Let's stand and be counted as devoted Candyfans and show TOEI and the world that WE LOVE CANDY CANDY! Please participate in the Candy Candy PETITION created in collaboration with most CC sites all around the world. We are working together to keep Candy's spirit alive among the overseas fans and to encourage the makers of Candy that Candy is ETERNAL, a TIMELESS CLASSIC. Please share the LINK with your other Candyfans and friends and encourage them to participate. The results of this petition (more than 400 signatures already in 3 days only !!!) could strongly impact the future of Candy and hopefully it will bring her animated story back so that it can be enjoyed by both the old and new generation.

Thank you in advance for your help and support. We need you ! ^_____^

with all my friendship,

From what little of Candy Candy I saw, I loved it. I saw it at Otakon 2001, and the entire crowd (except for me) was booing it, and heckling it, and they cheered when it was over (they were obviously there waiting for the next show, which was some special). That really pissed me off, and convinced me that northeastern anime fans are a generally rude and rowdy bunch (Otakon was also the only convention I know where people were cheering like crazy every time people beat up Pokemon characters or made fun of Pokemon during the masquerade, no other con was that vicious towards a kiddie anime).
