That's unexpected. It would certainly add to the films notoriety if Spielberg directs. With Spielberg on board, there's a possibility it won't end up as a box-office flop.

if Sam Raimi where directing it would be a sure thing that Bruce Campbell would be Lupin.

but with Spielberg its prbably gonna be Tom Hanks.

vash: They're also making an Arsene Lupin movie in France again. I guess the LeBlanc Estate has its usual axe to grind against Monkey Punch.

I think Jim Carrey would play a good Lupin. He has the grin,funny attitude,and has shown that he can (somewhat) play a serious role when he needs to. Deffinitely the right man for the job.
