Not sure how a Conan movie would make the list, but I hope Shin Chan's up for an award next year.

The Shin-Chan movies are actually really good!
Gah Tokikake better come to American DVD soon, it looks great. The new Detective Conan movie I heard was supposed to be one of the better ones. The trailer actually really made me want to see it even though I'm not really all that much a fan of the series. Maybe it's like the Pokemon movies, series stinks and first few movies stink and then the movies surprisingly turn good. |

That's the one with the .hack/EVA character designer, right? I was looking over an article about that in a magazine the other day. Looks pretty good.

Yes it is Hosoda is a remarkable new talent who, together with a stellar creative team including art director Nizou Yamamoto (PRINCESS MONONOKE) and character designer Yoshiyuki Sadamoto (NEON GENESIS EVANGELION), has crafted a magical and surprisingly affecting film full of humor, warmth and the bittersweet pangs of first love. After soaring through this journey with Makoto, one will never experience each moment quite the same way. I'm probably going to make the drive to S.F. to see it. |
