And I will be buying it yet again...... Why can't there be more like this now days. Serious JSRPGs, I love Disgaea but would really like something new like this or a new tactics ogre.

I thought i was the only one that played that....I still have my ps1 copy and the squeal for gba.. but moving on this is nice to see, hell this game is not easy in the least. This is what a true strategy rpg should be like. Then Again Disgaea on an ipod touch.. that would be different.

Wow this is pretty cool. U have an iPad so this might be something I am willing to invest in. But I'm still a little iffy about the whole touch screen thing. I feel like I wouldn't like to play this with my fingers and prefer some actual buttons and stuff.
I haven't played the first FFT before. So should I wait for this for my pad or should I just get the PSP one? If anyone has experience playing the PSP one or a lengthy touch game, some feedback would be nice?

If you have a psp get the war of the lions game. It's only 10 bucks at wal-mart or gamestop so it's a better choice but i will admit it's a hard game and there will be a lot of use for the touch screen. Some battles take up to 1 hour to get through depending on your levels, characters and if you have to protect some one.

That is a bit much for a 13 year old game. $5-6 I think would have been much more reasonable.

Wow, Squeenix's prices for their iOS games are getting patently ridiculous. I was interested in the remake, but I'm not going to pay $16 for something I already beat on PSX a decade ago.

Still have my PSx copy and (finally) bought the PSP version this year... I don't need another copy of the game.
That said, it's cool that it's getting a release for a device with a good sized install base, because I'm sure it'll get some new fans. And I know some people who don't buy handheld game systems (and thus missed out on the remake) but are happy about this news since they have iStuff.

if it's like war of lions "remake" then it's worth it.. also am I the only that noticed that they said there will be "voice acting???"...maybe that's the reason for the huge charge... although charging 10 bucks for FF one should be a crime >_>

Charging anything more then $5 for any game made before the PS1 is just criminal. There is very very little work that goes into porting those old titles and the controls are usually pretty stiff.

well it depends on the content and if it's remade. Take ff4 advanced for example it has over 10 hours of new content so it was worth the 30 dollars in the end. To me it's all about the content in the game.. then again there are rom hacks.
