About Ninja Gaiden 2, I don't understand, didn't we have Ninja Gaiden Master Collection which has Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 for Xbox One? Why would you need to re-release Ninja Gaiden 2 in the form of Ninja Gaiden 2 Black when you already have Ninja Gaiden 2 Sigma included in the previous collection?
What's the difference Ninja Gaiden 2 Black and the Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 in the previous release? |

I mean this is a remake made in UE5 from the ground up. What's so hard to understand? Besides this is also available for PS5 and PS players never got the OG version, only the toned down Sigma version. Last edited by Matros on Thu Jan 23, 2025 8:25 pm; edited 1 time in total |

Ninja Gaiden 2 Sigma took out a lot of stuff like the dismemberment and this puts it back in with a lot of the extras from 2 Sigma, like the new characters. Good thing, as I missed the juicy splatter

Yeah, I was in a hurry and I didn't get chance to read the whole thing, and now Wikipedia has updated the Ninja Gaiden II entry that now confirmed the Ninja Gaiden Black 2 is coming to PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Windows PCs. So now that I get all the information out of the way, I can't wait to see Digital Foundry and AustinSV to do a comparison video between Ninja Gaiden 2 (original Xbox release), Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, and Ninja Gaiden 2 Black. AustinSV did an extensive comparison of Ninja Gaiden Master Collection and comparing to previous releases/ports. So I expect him to be making another comparison video for Ninja Gaiden 2 Black comparing to Sigma 2 (PS3 & Master Collection) for this one. Anyway, I apologized if I didn't have time to read the article, I was in a hurry so now I got all the information I need, this is a bunch of clusterf(bleep). |

Yeah, I was watching a vtuber stream the game yesterday, and at least visually, it was very obvious that this wasn't a remaster like we recently had. It's hard to tell from that if the gameplay feels any different, but I could see stuff like detailed tree leaves that are visible out a window in the background or torchlight reflecting off of weapons. I will probably still wait to buy it since $50 seems a bit high for what it is, but I can't deny that there was real effort here. I'm kind of glad I didn't buy the remaster collection since I'd rather have this version. |
