This manga is THAT good. Definitely in the same level with JJK, HxH, maybe even better. So far there's only 59 chapters, and the anime adaptation is already in the works. Why? Because it is THAT good. Check it out. Don't trust me, trust all these studios and the manga plus rating.

I only read the one shot.

Could this be the one of the current Big 3?

Whatever the other 2 are...

Wow. I don't read the manga, but I was suspecting it could get a Frieren/Dungeon Meshi treatment, where producers would see it's success very early on and studios probably pitching for adaptations already. And CyGames? What a jackpot for the fanbase if true.

Can't say I'm the least bit surprised. It turned from a meme manga into a massive seller on its own quality outlasting the initial joke.

Well, that can be quite funny if it turns true.

Outside of pure meme factor of Kagurabachi, it seems like Shueisha is really want to pull out the next big hit near the Demon Slayer/JJK from it while it still hot - but also somehow doesn't want to be dumb enough, as unironically CygamesPictures production is quite high by current standard and they totally can pull it off under right condition while not completely screwing it off in the middle (like MAPPA, for example).

This really does show how popular this is. If you look at when a lot of the other recent WSJ anime got announced it was closer to 2 years into their run. I think Yozakura Family was around 3 years. Honestly, I'd been thinking that anime studios were giving series more time to cook to let more chapters come out before starting their anime, but I guess nothing had gotten big enough to warrant a one year announcement until now.

Ain't seen CygamesPictures doing completely 3DCGI stuff yet (but sometimes you never know, like DavidProduction with Spriggan) - so it's pretty safe to say 2D before the actual showing.
