Great review! I just finished reading volume 1 and enjoyed it enough to preorder volume 2.
I too wish it came with a pronunciation guide. I have other danmei that do have it, but I always struggle to understand and know I’m butchering the character names. I try to sound it out from what I’ve heard watching Chinese dramas. I can pronounce names in other series (Heaven Official’s Blessing, Drowning Sorrows In Raging Fire) because I’ve heard them pronounced correctly while watching the donghua. |
