Abby Trott has been having a great run lately with Shizuka (Zom100), Mutsumi (Yozakura Family), and now Momo. I love it when she plays cute and sassy tough girls.

Also really happy for AJ Beckles playing Okarun.

So I guess this is definitively getting an LA dub instead of a dueling dub between Crunchy and Netflix.

Wait, which company is producing the dub? Is it CR, Netflix, or GKIDS? Why is the Japanese company the one who announced it?

It looks like Mainichi Broadcasting System (and maybe the other members of DanDaDan's production committee) commissioned and paid for the dub themselves.

Mission Yozakura Family's dub is pretty identical to this situation. Mainichi is listed in the dub credits (https://imgur.com/a/jVHi82Z) along with the show's production committee and it's confirmed by a Disney employee that they had nothing to do with Yozakura's dub (https://twitter.com/thereubeh/status/1802089079754092731)

Sounds like something similar to One Piece's "English Production Consortium"
