Rest in peace.

I remember when I was really into old school anime, I would hear her from time to time, Oyuki and Miime (from Harlock series), first come to mind when I think of her.

She had a very tender, elegant voice.

Oh, no! She voiced so many iconic roles. I can't even imagine a world of anime without her Doronjo portrayal. That alone established a standard for a whole archetype of lady villains.

I knew her best as Harlock's Miime, Conan's Conan, Macross' Claudia, and Urusei Yatsura's Oyuki, but I didn't realize she was also the voice for Marine Boy's lead. Such a talented lady. Rest in peace.

People in the Philippines must be devastated, Doraemon and Voltes V are massively beloved there. RIP Noriko Ohara.
