Ok. So I have watched the first 3 episodes so far and I really like it. The story is hugely cliched but the character designs are beautiful. The music is nice. I especially like the color palette. Very bright and very detailed. But the story seems to be extremely rushed so far. They throw information at you and expect you to know what the hell is going on. A friend and I had to watch the beginning of episode 3 where they explain some things twice just to get an understanding because it went by so far.
I like the whole Absolute Angel/sword thing. And also I guess each sword is part of a mech because each Angel uses a different piece of the mech. This is what I understand by watching the first 3 episodes.
So what do other people think of this show? It is going to be short it looks like (12 episodes), but I think it should be pretty good. But I'm a sucker for pretty girls, hot guys and a little girl on girl kiss action. haha

I watched the first episode, and will probably continue with it for a bit. I thought that the first bits were completely worthless and generic, so I started skipping through it, but then suddenly they were having a beautifully rendered Jo Jo-esc Stand fight and I had found my hook for the series. I still don't really intend to pay much attention to the plot, but this one is at least worth skipping to the fight scenes to me. So far at least.
Of the newer shows I'm enjoying Deltora and Kenichi much more though.

I wonder if this series is like a "capstone" of all of Kaishaku's works. I mean there are the Chikane and Himeko look-alikes, Kaon and Himiko, from Kannazuki no Miko, a catgirl named Tarurotte which seems to be derived from the name Taruto, and the OP sequence showed a Valkyrie person that looks like she's from from UFO Ultramaiden Valkyrie. And not to mention the rather cheesy first episode which is obviously modeled off from Kannazuki no Miko.
Now I wonder where the Steel Angel Kurumi and Kagihime references will come into play.

They mention the steel angels in epi 2 or 3. I can't remember right now, as I am too swamped in work to think straight.
Its nice how all the series tie together but I do think it will get old fast. But its fun for now. And its short, so it isnt a complete waste of time.

You know I thought it was all too similar Kannazuki no Miko with when I first saw it so now it all makes sense. I didn't really due any background searching on this series so I had no idea it was link to Kaishaku. Like geishageek I like this series even with it being cliche for the same reasons as geishageek. I love the character designs alot and I like the music to. It did seem rushed and throws you into the action but that didn't bother me to much. I have to say the story so far is quite interesting, for me a bit more interesting the Kannazuki's was, after the first 3 episodes. Though the whole thing with her talking to her prince in her head, or whatever is sorta getting on my nerves...does it bother anyone else?
Oh yes the girl on girl kiss action was pleasing, I also thought that little kiss the blonde absolute angel had with the main character in the bath was pretty hot/cute.

Yes. It's like a mix of Utena and Brother, Dear Brother, only nowhere near as good as either. BDB pulled off the 'writing letters' thing because it was well placed and relevant and emotional. This...not so much.
I'm through three episodes, but I have to admit that so far the show is annoying me very much. The main characters annoy me, the dialogue annoys me, the plot annoys me.... I'll keep watching, because it sometimes happens with me that shows I'd like to throw into a dark pit at the beginning turn out to be decent later. But it's not a good sign when you're so annoyed by the good guys that you want the bad guys to win, only to become so annoyed by the bad guys that you just want everyone to die.
I may have to eat all this later if the show turns out to be great, but oh well. Right now Kaon/Chikane and Himiko/Himeko are by far the most interesting parts of the show.

*points to avatar* I'm actually enjoying this series so far. Love the way the mecha battles are being played out, much, much better than the gaudily coloured Transformers we were subjected to in KAISHAKU's earlier anime Kannazuki no Miko. Though I will admit that the sole reason I'm gonna stick with this series is because of the relationship between Kaon & Himiko, as I'm a Chikane fangirl. I haven't found the character drama to be as engaging as KnM, but that's probably because there is a larger cast of characters to deal with in this series.
Oh, must say that I HATE the OP & ED themes; after the kick ass dance tracks by KOTOKO for KnM, Kyoshiro to Towa no Sora's themes are lacklustre in the extreme.
Random thought - is Kuu the survivor mentioned in Kyoshiro's monologue at the beginning of episode 3?

Have to say that Kuu's "Haiken, oji-sama" (?spelling) started getting on my nerves in episode 2. If she continues spouting those lines everytime she has a mental thought, I think I'll cry.
