Ok that is surprising. Assuming two cours I guess it could be doable I don't really remember what pacing was like in the last chunk of the manga.

Not a surprise that they are going to stream it, but the question is when will the season start and how exactly long the season will be. I know it has to be at least two cours, but I wonder if it might need to be at least three cours. And will those cours be in consecutive seasons or will there be a break in between, like one being in fall and another in spring?

Also, would've been nice to know if they will be releasing the Ryusui OVA on physical media, whether on its own or with the 2nd half of the Season 3 release.

Well, streaming-wise, no surprise.

The streaming part is no surprise, but we've seen "final" seasons turn into various things ranging from multiple parts that ought to have been called their own seasons to trying to cram stuff into one cour.

The first season of Dr. Stone was twice as long as its subsequent seasons, so I at least hope that they won't try to do everything in 12-ish episodes. I'm anime-only with it, but considering where the prior season ended, that seems like it would be rushing things, and Dr. Stone has been pretty good about showing how they are achieving seemingly impossible goals by following the steps of humanity before it. It would be disappointing to deviate from that by skipping over stuff for the sake of wrapping it right away.
