Yeeesssss! I just read the first volume and it was adorable, but I thought "This isn't really well-known enough to get an anime, so I'll just consider it a nice read." The first volume wasn't numbered, though, so I wasn't aware of more volumes. Is it just two volumes long?

MAL only listed 1 volume at all. Probably the author and publishing staff were just not sure themselves if it will get more volumes.

Wow! I read the first volume earlier this month and absolutly loved it, however, like #Juno016 my first thought was "Too bad it's so short, we won't be getting an anime in the near future", It's such a good surprise.

There seems to be a minor spelling mistake, should be "and" not "an".

Aside from that, this sounds like it'll be an emotional anime. And the trailer looks good!

The second volume is out July 17th in Japan. Which, to be fair, is in the article, but there seemed to be some confusion in this thread.

Two volumes can be pretty much enough to cover everything up (looking at Endo and Kobayashi Live case), so that's fine.

Super excited for this though I’m a little sad that they didn’t use the manga art style, the expressions were the best in that

Gives me Witch's Journey vibe with a more bittersweet bent.

Was this all animated for the sake of this trailer though?

Nice to see Yoshino Aoyama and Yoshiko Sakakibara.

It’ll be so nice to hear Sakakibara Yoshiko once more. It feels like it’s been so long. She voiced some of my favorite characters in my early anime years, in Bubblegum Crisis and Mobile Police Patlabor. I’ll have to look at ANN’s encyclopedia to see who I’ve heard her voice most recently, but feels like it’s been a really long time.

As far as Aoyama Yoshino, I don’t think that I’ve heard her voice more than bit parts years ago. Most of her ANN-listed titles are ones I’ve missed…
