In a lot of ways, this show exceeded my expectations. Its got nice design work, and while its the standard "drama while girls do an activity", its doing a good job on interweaving multiple dramatic plot lines at the same time and maintaining better pacing than these shows usually have. Its also, so far, much less fanservice focused than you would expect an all girl cheerleading show to be.
On the other hand, of a cast of 6, overly affectionate girl and stalker parkour girl are engaging in problematic and irritating behavior pretty much whenever onscreen. I am guessing parkour girl will become less creepy and the affection less inappropriate as they become a friend group, I guess, but those two alone mean I might drop it. |
