Well, here's hoping it will be better than the BlazBlue anime.

From the series composer of Giant Beasts of Ars and Danganronpa 3 doesn't inspire the most confidence, but maybe Sol being a terrible grandpa will carry it.

On the other hand, he also did Akudama Drive, which is good enough for me.

spoiler[It actually seems to be post-Strive given Sol has his short hair that you see in the last bit of Strive.]

Interesting to see where this goes.

I think that's what they were getting at. This is after everything interesting has already happened, and spoiler[after Sol can really do anything super cool now that he's just a guy (since he also doesn't have his Gear Cell suppressor on). Unless they follow up on Happy Chaos here of all places it'll seem really low scale]

I'm in the same boat. 20 years ago I'd be excited but I wasn't the biggest fan of Strive so this is kind of whatever if they're basing it on the Strive versions rather than the OG.

I've actually talked to him before on Twitter. Danganronpa 3 was brilliant. He also did School-Live and Astra: Lost in Space.

Haven't played any Guilty Gear games, but I've liked listening to some of the soundtrack over the years. Hoping "Heavy Day" will play at least once at some point in the anime.

Looking forward to hopefully seeing I-No and Ramlethal Valentine show up, preferably in major or main character roles. Also dunno how it works with the current voice actors, but it'd be cool to hear Sol Badguy voiced by Jouji Nakata in the anime series.

Interesting how this will be the first ever Guilty Gear anime made, not even any OVAs in the 2000s.

Technically not true, as there was an anime PV made for Guilty Gear X back in the early 00s that was mostly (May is the only one who speaks Japanese in it) voiced in English (& memorably poor), but this is the first "full-length" Guilty Gear anime, for sure.

On the other hand, he also did Akudama Drive, which is good enough for me.

He was also responsible for the story in Guilty Gear X/XX/2 and Guilty Gear manga/novels.
Additionally can see his name at the end of PV posted above (here).
