This a really big deal! I hope this will be a major success so we can get more 2.5D shows here in the US. I'll definitely be making a special trip for this show.

When it's a performance, where would the "subtitles" be?

Some theaters have screens with the translated lines either right above the stage or to the side (basically audience teleprompters). If you want to see some examples, image search "theater captions". |

I never imagined that an "Attack on Titan" musical would make it's way to America. I do remember that there was a "Sailor Moon" musical here some years ago although I don't remember where that was. Given the nature of the manga in question,I'm not sure how an American audience is going to feel about something like this.

I wont pretend to know anything about this sort of modern Japanese theater, but being able to perform in New York has got to be a dream come true for a lot of these stage performers that get the opportunity.
