I don't think it'll ever remove the always-online for a singleplayer game as it does in EGS.

The big thing stopping me from buying from the Epic Store was how much more expensive it all was than the near-equivalent Kingdom Hearts All-in-One Package on the PS4 -- currently $45 on Amazon, compared to $170 on Epic (and even during a sale it's $68), with the only difference AFAICT being Re Mind. Hopefully it won't be quite as pricey on Steam.

Psst… Squeenix… it’s not too late to do a proper (non-cloud) release for Switch. Or get it ready for Switch 2. Surely you have dev kits.

Counterpoint: I've gotten a lot of good games there for free, and their coupons meant I got better deals on Hades, Disco Elysium, and FF7R than I could've on Steam.

Each to their own. We all have our reasons.

Personally, I am quite comfortable with the Steam ecology and don't feel comfortable putting my credit card information on multiple gaming sites, unless I really need to.

Wonderful! I hope we get uncapped framerates. I paused KH3 until I got the PS5 ( it runs so much better, obviously )

Will definitely be getting the entire Kingdom Hearts catalogue on Steam Very Happy
