The puppets look amazing! I need to watch this series. I guess I should start from the first season, but are there other things I should keep in mind about watching order?

Well, two OVA (if we can call it that) were released between S1 and S2 (The Sword of Life and Death and Bewitching Melody of the West), so better to look at them before the second season, but outside that it's all good to watch despite the chronological order.

The release order would be the best way to watch it, so season 1, movie 1, season 2, movie 2, season 3.

Edit: Oh, was Bewitching Melody released differently than I remembered? Well, I guess it can be watched either before or after season 2.

This is one of those amazing shows that each new season is better than the one before. And the movie is amazing. The first OVA is the only one that's kinda meh but that because of the story per se but because it's kind of a prequel. Just with prequels there's only so much surprise you can pull. Can't wait for the final series and movie. It would be so satisfying with all the set up and brilliant open plot lines waiting for final closure up to this point.
