I wonder if it can crack number 2, next. Or will Spy x Family Code: White do it, in Heron's place?

Heron would need a bump of $5 million to beat Demon Slayer, and given it only made $660k this weekend, Heron’s theatrical run in the US is basically over.
Also I sincerely doubt a side-story Spy Family movie will beat Demon Slayer’s canonical record-breaking movie. Spy Family will make $5 million in the US max (my own prediction, I could be wrong of course).

Pancake: I think if DB Super Hero is any indication, Code White should at least crack $20 million. Not sure about beyond that. As for Heron, if it winds down, but wins an Oscar, maybe it could get a boost of interest from people sitting on the fence-assuming GKids plans to re-release it, of course.

My Hero Academia, which is arguably more popular than Spy Family, had three spin-off movies that made $5.4m, $13.5m, and $9.7m. Not sure how you think Code White could crack $20m.
Dragon Ball’s fandom is orders of magnitude bigger than Spy and My Hero, so it’s not really comparable.

MHA is like The Boys, while Spy x Family is like The Simpsons.

Films are twice as expensive now as they were 25 years ago.

Here in Argentina, The Boy and the Heron has managed to sell over 100,000 tickets, which may not seem like a lot, but for an anime film is kind of impressive. Previous anime films that cross the 100,000 viewer mark in Argentina were, Saint Seiya the Movie, DBZ: The Tree of Might, DBZ: Broly – The Legendary Super Saiyajin, DBZ: Fusion Reborn, Pokémon: The First Movie, Pokémon 2000, Spirited Away, DBZ: Battle of the Gods, Saint Seiya: Legend of Sanctuary, DBZ: Resurrection 'F', DBS: Broly, Jujutsu Kaisen 0 and DBS: Super Hero

In Argentina movie tickets used to cost ARS $25.00 back in 2010, nowadays they cost ARS $5,500.00. That's why I started going less and less to the cinema last year

I'm curious to know if the Pokemon movie numbers were adjusted or if we're comparing what they earned over 20 years ago to Heron now. I'm curious to know if Heron would still be #2 if the figures were adjusted for inflation.

Cutiebunny: Nope, the only thing adjusted for inflation is Gone with the Wind. And yeah, Heron couldn't compete if it had to use those standards in rankings.

Jesus. I’m paying attention to Milei and hoping his plan to replace the peso with our USD comes to fruition. It would have a lot of great benefits for both countries, not to mention the serious inflation problem that you just exemplified.
