I get that you're using the tweet from TO Books but the image is a huge spoiler for anime-only people. Would it be possible to use another image instead? EDIT - they've changed the image now
Anyways. It's a very pleasant surprise. I wasn't expecting any more of the anime considering how rushed season 3 was.
I'm expecting the new anime to look better than the previous seasons.
We're finally going to see [Part 3] Lessy animated!!!!!!!!

Eh? Studio Wit? What the hell? Will Honzuki look good for once? Is that legal?
Even it's just intern animators and continues to look terrible, I'll be happy. Honzuki has always been carried on its writing, so the chance of having decent art is merely a bonus.

I honestly thought we weren't getting any more, the light novel is long and it felt like a good stopping point, so I am over the moon with this announcement!

My guess is that since Bookworm is still a very successful selling Novel/Light Novel Series and even with s3s somewhat rushed pace to wrap up the second major arc. They decided to switch studios for better production schedule.
Which is great as more of this show, the better as it truly starts to become a major turn right after where the anime left off. I can't Wait
However yes, you have to remove that image as it is a major spoiler for non readers.

Was it OLM or Ajiadou? From the top of my head, I like both those studios. To me colour palette is one of the most important things, good colour palettes, memorable art style which doesn't blend into the 20 light novel adaptions per season and not over animated is more than enough for me to like an anime visually.

I am non-reader, but I am sure everyone already spoiled things anyway.
As far as I understand, it is the cover of final(?) LN volume (Part 5 volume 12).
Let's see how many episodes they will make. Part 2 was 4 volumes and they rushed it quite a bit. Part 3 is 5.

I hope the fourth season will be better than the third season.
The end of the third season was very pivotal and changing moment for the franchise, and instead of stepping up and showcasing those moments, we got truncated and drab moments. So much was cut and in my eyes the effects were substandard for the importance of the event.
I also understand, that this isn't Demon Slayer, Attack on Titan, or Made in Abyss. So the money and time probably wasn't there to do the series justice. We are also extremely lucky that the franchise was even adapted into an anime, much less, three seasons of anime about our favorite bookworm.
So despite my complaints of the third season, I am extremely grateful for a fourth season. And the fact that after the popularity of the light novels, the ongoing manga, and the three seasons of anime, they are finally making figurines of Myne. Expensive figurines, but figurines nonetheless. This franchise has had a dearth of official merchandise.

Studio Kafka who did the second season is comprised mostly of former WIT employees.

I'm just happy to see more Bookworm, regardless of who produces it. I'm not expecting it to be Wit's highest priority project, but I doubt it was Ajiado's either. I do hope they keep at least some of the key staff - I always liked the character designs, art direction and music.

This is incorrect. No part or season of Ascendance of a Bookworm aired in the fall 2020 season. Instead, the "part 2 of season 1" mentioned in the previous paragraph, that aired in spring 2020, is generally considered the second season.

Same here, as long it continue i'm fine with any studio or decent budget even if it probably won't be up to Wit studio's standard.

They really did mangle the ending of the third series, didn't they? I understand that they had a shorter than normal episode count, but they still really needed to trim back some of the early-season content a bit so they could do the finale justice. I don't expect top-notch action scenes animation - the show's always been ropey at those as action scenes are few and far between - but they compressed things far too much at the end.
Anyway, the fourth season should be interesting. We get some big changes to tone, style and cast at this point, which probably means it's as good a place as any for a new studio to take over.

Only 1/3 of the currently released volumes (33 +3) will be adapted even if the ending of Part 3 and with it Vol 12 is reached. Top-tier money laundry! Who needs Tolkien´s entire bibliography when 1 single Issekai series can eclypyse total page count?

How ironic that Wit kept "abandoning" a lot of their series in the past years, and now they're ones taking a series from another studio.
