I Want a Gal Gamer to Praise Me is NOT a light novel, it's a manga written and drawn by Geshumaro.
Edit; Adults' Picture Book is also a manga, not a novel. Edit2; Fox-Colored Jealousy is also a (yaoi)manga, not a novel. Edit3; As above, All or Nothing is also a yaoi manga, not a novel. Edit4; My Gemini is a (shoujo)manga, not a novel. Edit5; The Tiger Hasn't Eaten the Dragon Yet is a (seinen)manga, not a novel. Edit6; Trinity Seven -Revision-, is also a manga, it was serialized in Young Dragon Age 2019-2020 and was compiled into 3 volumes; ANN news link Edit7; Sword Art Online: Progressive Canon of the Golden Rule should also be a manga, the Progressive volume with that undertitle were volumes 5 and 6 (Kogane Ritsu no Kanon I&II) and both are already released in English. Classroom for Heroes, Trinity Seven, and gyaru gamer? Awesome!
(I kind of wish the artists of the first set of Progressive adaptions stuck with it...) |

Mistakes were made on the article, but hey they [Yen Press] licensed that Gal Gamer manga. I've read that one, it's decent, but it's vastly inferior compared to Kimi to Picopico, which is another romcom manga involving gaming and a gyaru.
Gal Gamer has a good (not great) MC who just wants to be good at Apex Legends, the gyaru gamer is likeable because she's so sweet, kind, and encourages the guy to be as good as she is at the game. There are also love triangle shenanigan involving a childhood friend. spoiler[It's not the gyaru gamer, she's the MC's senpai.] |

animenewsnetwork.com/news/2023-10-15/yen-press-licenses-sword-art-online-progressive-canon-of-the-golden-rule-classroom-for-heroes-11-/.203418 is a mess, most of the announcements are about manga, not novels. I currently count only 5 actual new novel licenses from them;
You Can't See the Snow Riviere and the Land of Prayer Once Upon a Witch's Death: The Tale of the One Thousand Tears of Joy Classroom for Heroes Amalgam Hound The rest of the announcements are about manga properties. |
