Wow! Never thought I'd see Sorimachi in the role, again. He did such a great job in the old live-action series. I wonder if his, now wife, Nanako Matsushima will reprise Fuyutuski-sensei.

This bring back memories. Hopefully his wife who previously played his love interest in the original tv show will return as well.

Awesome! I think this must've been the first Japanese drama I watched, and it was before reading the manga... brings back some memories. Very Happy

GTO itself aged, to put it mildly, but this version of the TV drama isn´t just older than the anime, it´s iconic in Japan. Unlike the anime that came and went.

Onizuka is only 2 years older in the most recent manga than in the first GTO series so he essentially stopped aging after reaching his 20s despite having an early 90s-based prequel. Middle-aged Onizuka is a good idea in itself.
