Feels like maybe they should just rework the whole schedule and announce a reworked one for the entire season, instead've slow-rolling the announcements and catching negative PR for each delay separately
Production quality of the show still seems quite good, though, especially for a new studio. Hope the delays don't color peoples' perception of the studio too negatively. |

Just delay the whole thing till fall season, the hype for Zom 100 is already dead

Yeah, I am going to put this one on ice and watch it again from the start when it is complete. After the upcoming episode we have a recap week and episode 10 to 12 still have no date, for all we know things are so bad that the last few episodes are next year.

The Team Kojima outsourcing strategy continues to prove its ineffectiveness. This series should've started airing in fall instead of July, but that doesn't sound like it was possible. Sakugablog mentions that "the studio already has other demanding projects looming on the horizon" and I'd guess the odds are basically guaranteed these Zom 100 production delays will affect those projects as well, which is a huge shame.
Bug Films is almost entirely made up of staff from OLM's Team Kojima (Komi Can't Communicate, Summer Time Rendering), which split to do its own thing, so they're rather experienced (more info here, the Sakugablog post I mentioned earlier, written after the first episode was released). They do love ultra-high production first episodes (at the cost of the rest of the season) and trying to sprinkle moments in the show that attempt to reach near those same impossible highs. The idea is that outsourcing most of the series will allow production to be done quickly and "efficiently", while the in-house team can work on the big moments. Unfortunately, this strategy is built entirely on the back of massive crunch for the in-house team, and equally as tight deadlines for the outsourcing studios, and the schedule caught up nearly instantly. Shaft was credited with "Animation Production Cooperation" for episodes 2-5, and (unsubstantiated but theoretically plausible) rumors state that they abandoned the show because the schedule was so dire. |

The hype ain't dead, but damn is this frustrating. Again, like I said last post should of just chose the Monday slot if it's getting thrown each time to it.

Just to be clear, Monday is when most streaming services will release the episode. Zom 100 is still airing in its regularly scheduled time slot on Sunday in Japan. The same thing happened with Episode 6. Maybe the streaming services are getting episodes later now and require that extra day of buffer room in case they aren't ready to release it in time.
I know the delays are frustrating, and it's not a great business strategy, but I've been pleased with the Zom 100 anime overall. |

More or less, yes. Streaming services need lead time to set up subtitles, encode and upload the video file, and stuff like that. So if the episodes are being finished very last minute in order to hit the relatively slacker TV airing deadline, the materials are being sent so late that streamers have to push back their release. |

It would be funny if the recap next week is delayed as well.

True, though the communication is off somehow. Wonder what exactly. |

Wouldn't it be great if only shows that were able to meet their release schedule actually got released? Yeah, that would be pretty great.
