The game isn’t finished though — the last chapter is still to be released. Did the dev let them know how the story ends?

It’s a well done Danganronpa-like game by the way. Most of it can be played for free, though I think the end was planned to be Steam-exclusive.

No. From what I've seen they finished adapting Chapter 1 part 2 just recently in manga so I guess it's going to end somewhere during Chapter 2 part 1.
