Excuse you, I have it on very good authority that she is six!
She said so herself. And she wouldn't lie to get adopted by an awesome superspy, would she?

Halfway through the very first episode, I completely understood why the internet wouldn't shut up about it. This is an incredibly wholesome anime, perfect if you need to feel good at some point.

Yeah I’d say Yuri when he goes full sis-con mode is the only blemish to this otherwise very wholesome series. It kinda doesn’t even seem like it should be in this show, but alas… the rest of the show is good stuff.

I'd highly recommend you check out the manga, too. The anime is good, don't get me wrong, but the comedic timing works so, so much better on the page than the screen.

Yup.
But I do think, if nothing else, it helps heighten the comedy and drama by introducing another spy to the mix who is hypercompetent in exactly one field, and extremely inept at everything else, to further drive misunderstandings and comedy while also (only potentially, at this point) being capable of cool over-the-top action sequences.

Yeah, I do like Yuri’s involvement with the secret police and his vendetta with twilight. That will probably become plot important later on. I also like the comedy of him, not accepting Lloyd as a good husband to Yor. But I can do without his cringe sis-con comedy.

I would be shocked if anyone actually liked that bit, and didn't think Yuri would be better off without it.
It's one of those hyperspecific tropes that only ever shows up in otaku-oriented anime media.

I am convinced at lot of these Bluray/DVD packs are only made because some DVD factories have a quota of disks to print. I understand when it's a show rendered in SD and you are given an option between the original image and whatever upscaling method was used to get 1080p (like in case of Wolf's Rain, where the upscale is poor). But when the show was rendered in 1080p in the first place? Waste of plastic and electricity.
I heard some old people only have DVD players, and sure, that's true. But those who watch recent anime are not very old, and definitely can afford a 100$ bluray player, or even a Bluray drive for your PC for the same price. I use my barely used PS3 (means it's in good condition) for Region A/All Region disks and USB disk drive with a free player software for the rare cases I bought a Region B release. In other words, if you can afford buying Blurays, you can afford a player.
