This game is so underrated. Really enjoyed my time with it when I finally got around to playing it earlier this year. I'd love to see more games that use its hypothesis-building system.

Bought this last year for Switch, but haven't gotten around to it yet. I've mostly heard good things though! My main hope is that the story takes things seriously -- it seems like most mystery-themed games feel obligated to have comedic / quirky elements all throughout. Which is fine when done well, but sometimes I'm in the mood for a more grounded plot.

If you know Japanese, try to check out Trick X Logic on the PSP. It was made by the director of The Centennial Case, and the latter's mechanic of creating hypotheses by combining key terms is basically lifted straight out of TxL, only in a more accessible manner (Trick X Logic was really aimed at mystery buffs).

It does keep things pretty serious. There's one plot element that could have gotten goofy, but this plays it very straight, sticking close to Golden Age mystery tenets. The worst we get is some hammy acting, and even that's not that bad.
