For anyone who has seen these Films, would it be worth waiting until most of them are out before watching them, or can I watch one then watch the next one a year later without issue. For example can you go into each with ease or do you need to remember exactly how the last one left off.

I never did get around to seeing the first two even though I love the show and have seen it multiple times, really should try and change that.

Both yes and no. The movies themselves are standalone but there is an overarching plot.

Remember when the series ended in 2017, they announced plans to release two films per year? Well, it's been six years, and this will be the third film. I'd wait until this installment comes to HIDIVE and watch them all then.

The combination of niavity and lack of realistic expectation from the higher ups when it comes to actually top quality animation for any project.
The level of quality in animating these scenes and keep them with the same standard needs a lot of time and energy and effort to make them and it does not help that the animation industry as a whole has changed even more since they announced it back than.
More projects, more saturated and declining workforce, hazardous working conditions that have become more difficult a lot of factors like covid, time, money etc.
I rather they take their time and produce top quality story and animation rather than let it just ship everything out like a factory all for the sake of people wanting more and more now.

I don’t remember the higher-ups saying they will be releasing 2 films per year. Do you have a source for that? When this project was announced as a six-part film series, I expected its release schedule will be similar to Girls und Panzer das Finale since both are animated by Actas. The reason why Crown Handler Part 1 and 2 were released within a year is because the Part 1 was delayed from its initial release in 2020 to 2021 was caused by the pandemic.

The films were announced back when Actas was an independent studio with a track record of poor scheduling. They are now a Bandai subsidiary, which resulted in a lot of rescheduling. It's been an improvement, if you ask me.

You could go from the 1st movie to the 2nd with a substantial pause in between, I think - the 2nd builds on the events of the 1st but I don't think you need to remember the 1st film in detail, as long as you got one or two key plot elements. On the other hand, I'm pretty sure the 3rd film will expect you to clearly remember most of what happened in the 2nd film.

The first film can be watched by itself. The 2nd and the upcoming 3rd film should probably be watched together as the 2nd ends on a minor cliffhanger that leads into the 3rd. I believe the reason this one got pushed back was because of Queen Elizabeth II's passing away last year and they didn't want to seem insensitive (Since the Queen in this one is going to pass soon as well)
