I'm not surprised, Kimetsu no Yaiba has become a big hit in Latin America, I live there and I've seen many people with merchandise of the series like shirts (weirdly enough, I've seen children wearing them despite the show's violent content), most of the merchandise is not official but still, I'd say it's one of those shows that achieved mainstream success in the region like Dragon Ball and Attack on Titan.
When the movie premiered in Mexico Natsuki Hanae, Tanjiro's seiyuu, was invited to the premiere and he met the Neutral Spanish dub cast, including Iván Bastidas, Tanjiro's dub voice actor. Interestingly, Iván has dubbed other characters originally voiced by Hanae such as Rōma Kamogawa in Goodbye, Don Glees! and Beam in Chainsaw Man, while Uraz Huerta, who voices Inosuke, voiced Shinpei Ajiro (also voiced by Hanae) in Summer Time Rendering and Marc Winslow, who voices Tomioka and is also the ADR director, voiced Hajime Kokonoi in Tokyo Revengers (again, voiced by Hanae).
It was nice to see all the fans in the premiere, they even gave Natsuki a Dr. Simi plush dressed as Tanjiro as a gift (for those who don't know Dr. Simi is the mascot of a chain of pharmacies and it became popular to gave its plush as a gift to celebrities who visit the country)
