Japan is definitely behind on the times regarding this scam.

Everything that doesn't belong in gaming. Blockchain has a place just not in gaming, in fact the adult industry could benefit from the blockchain to evade censors. As for NFTs, they just don't belong anywhere in entertainment.

Seems to be the case. Coinciding with Meta's layoffs, they've also announced they're axing the ability to share, mint, or sell NFTs on their platforms. Of course where some are leaving, others are pushing forward in joining in. Fox for example is pushing forward with their own NFT marketplace and going to be using some of their new animated TV series as a means to push NFTs.

I'm surprised the article doesn't mention that it's a job in TPC's American division. This clearly won't have anything to do with the games, even if it does materialize. It'll be something to do with marketing or art.

With multiple JPN gaming devs doing one NFT projects or planning them, you can assume most of the industry will dip into them a bit before coming same conclusions the rest of international gaming community has about their viability.

This is bizarre, stupid, and hilariously sad all at the same time. If I never hear the term NFT again, it'll be too soon.

I fear I would have to drop games if they sneak them in there. Really hope the companies don't go there.

I don't really see this involving the mainline games. They can barely make those work with Nintendo Switch online functionality, let alone trying to implement blockchain or anything more complex. It's probably just an art collection like other anime have done, or at most a specifically dedicated mobile game for it.

I mean I understand the complaints about DRM but it exists for a reason.

That’s the big problem with these games not the fact that they’re either optimized poorly or designed weirdly?
