Nice. I thought this season was going to go undubbed. I assume Crunchyroll retained Sentai's cast from the previous season.

So this is the first Utawarerumono title not dubbed in Huston I take it. it's nice to see Hilary Haag in a Funimation dub, it's quite rare.

Great to see almost everyone's back!
The only replacements so far seem to be Honoka's VA Katelyn Barr taking over for Uruuru and Saraana. Which works from a thematic point of view, so that was probably the best choice for a replacement. She did a great job voicing the two of them as well.
The first episode of the dub was very good, though it's really interesting that all of the name romanizations and terminology have reverted to those used in the games' translation. (The subtitles for this season used them as well.)
It creates a little bit of a disconnect from the previous series' dub, with characters now saying things like "Mikado" instead of "Emperor", and characters like "Oshtol" now being called "Oshtor", but for hardcore fans it's pretty nice to hear, since many fans consider the game's terminology to be definitive.
The only oddity from episode 1's dub is the introductory narration scene being narrated by Haku's voice, Kregg Dailey, instead of following what the Japanese did where they had Rikiya Koyama (voice of Hakuowlo from the first series) doing the narration.
Even though he wasn't called for that narration, I do hope the dub is eventually able to call back John Gremillion to match Rikiya Koyama's parts for certain sections toward the end of the series. It would really help make things come full circle. (If you know, you know.)
Anyway, I'm really glad this finally got its dub. I was slightly worried when it seemed like it wasn't going to get one, and I feared the trilogy's dub might not be completed.
Thankfully, it's here now, and I hope all the actors have fun on the wild journey this final season brings!

Is this possible to watch without watching False Faces first? Unfortunately, it seems that Sentai lost the rights, as it's no longer streaming on HIDIVE and the blu-rays and DVDs are out of print.

No. This series follows up directly where it left off, and spoils the ending to False Faces.

Shanae'a Moore is returning to voice her.
It was confirmed in Crunchyroll's announcement tweet, but not the article itself since it only included characters who spoke in ep 1.

I'm glad they were able to get the Sentai cast back for this!
