This is interesting and something I'm honestly surprised more companies that work with plastics aren't doing it, as the payback time for them will be far shorter than for most people/companies due to how much electricity they use and they often have a lot of space to fit them on the factory building and any warehouses.

In the UK Games Workshop (Warhammer) did a big expansion of their factory complex a few years back and one of the things they did was fitted a load of panels both as a cost saving measure in the long term, and a practical matter in the short term (the local power operator decided they couldn't upgrade the electrical connection in the original time frame, so the panels allowed at least some of the new equipment to be used some of the time).

From the article:

I expect that should have been 220 watts.

Although even if it's 220 watts per panel, that's either really cheap/old panels or smaller physical size than are the norm in the UK* (and i'd imagine ROW) low end consumer panels here are now 370ish watts, higher end ones are just starting to hit 420ish.

*Possibly half the size of the standard ones installed here.

The measurement is in kilowatts, but reading through the Japanese reporting again, it might be talking about the solar panels cumulatively rather than each panel, so I changed the wording to reflect that.
