It will premiere in Japan in April 2023.

Even though I didn't watch all Pokemon episodes, hearing that Ash's story is coming to an end is making me pretty emotional. At the same time I'm pretty excited for the new story with new protagonists. I'm also wondering if we'll see the team Rocket trio again.

Ash's journey had to end. You can't get any higher than World Champion.

But I will absolutely be emotional when his last episode airs.

The end of Satoshi and Pikachu's story? This is huge. No wonder they named it Pocket Monsters just like the 1st series. It was to represent the end. Never thought this would happen. I was going to watch it eventually and I should have started earlier in the year because I thought it would end in November like usual so I'm behind schedule. I have to watch it now.

I still don't forgive them for the XY/Z series. That was the best series. It had his best design. spoiler[It should have ended in a draw at least.] It piss me off spoiler[when they made him win in the next series with that goofy character design].

As for the new characters....

Not content with living most children's dream of being a Pokemon Master, Ash went ahead and is now living out the dream of most adults too: retiring at the age of 10. The guy truly had a good run.

I cried when Ash used Infinity Gauntlet and said "And I… Am… Pokémon Master"

It's bittersweet knowing his journey is finally coming to an end, even as someone who has wished for it for years.

Excited for the new series, and while I realize we're getting dual protagonists, I'm intrigued the promo material is emphasizing Liko more.

I don't have much hope given TPCi's track record, but it would be amazing if the new series got a simulcast.

It finally happened. Ash is finally moving on. I have always wanted new protagonists but a part of me didn't think it would happen. It will be weird watching a pokemon anime without Ash.

Makes sense. Ash and Pikachu’s story is pretty much over. It’s time for new protagonists now.

It's going to be hard to say goodbye to a character I've been watching week after week for 2 decades, I hope the new anime will stay in the same timeframe so we can have cameo. .

Tears will flow around the world in April.

Man, I never thought this day would come. I kind of feel like marathoning Pokemon now. Godspeed, Ash Ketchum. Thanks for everything.

There's a lot of promising in a new season with new characters, so that's pretty exciting. It'll be hype if Ash ever cameos.
