That's quite an impressive career, I wonder why she moved away from game art in the early 90s. It's sad that she was only 59, RIP.

This devastated me when I heard the news the other night. I played and enjoyed many of the games she worked on; Eternal Arcadia/Skies of Arcadia is a particular favorite. RIP to a true pioneer.

Going by the article, it's clear that she was promoted to more important roles. Perhaps directing/producing is what she had wanted to do to begin with Anime smile + sweatdrop

It's sad she couldn't make her dream game. May she rest in peace.

Absolute legend, died way too young.

FWIW it's pretty unprofessional and a bit disrespectful to say "passes away" instead of "died". It downplays the death.

So many of my favorite games for the Genesis was due to her designs and creative input. Not to mention Skies of Arcadia and 7th Dragon. Thanks for all the memories.

On the keyboard the two letters s and d are right next to each other. "Passes" is a typo, probably meant to say "Passed." Not sure why it would be disrespectful, mistakes happen.

Yeah I've been seeing this way to much lately. Like excuse me? Passed away? Everyone under 70 years old doesn't just "pass away". They died. To something. And if it's a disease then maybe mentioning it can be another way to spread awareness of the disease. You'd be surprised how many people don't know about some disease that others think are "old news".

But the point is passed away only makes sense if they die of old age. THAT'S IT.

Also I have to question Sega's view towards its employees when they only mention a death 5 months later(even 1 month later should be enough)...that said, they still mentioned it so...I GUESS they're doing their due diligence?
