It could have been so much better with a much slower pace, since the second week i couldn't help but wonder every sunday if some in-between chapters were skipped.

And here comes the last to the chopping block, with no one really unexpected that. Next time we will not see the axe for a while, depending on how OniYome and G&G going to present themselves.

Indeed, this harsh rule has always been true and will probably be even harsher with the sales of the magazine declining more and more each year, at this point i can't remember how many promising mangas were axed, sometimes i just hope they could be more lenient but sadly they can't afford to.
I have more hope for OniYome and G&G but i can't see them reaching a complete year publication so far or maybe by switching to Jump +. |

Just read the last chapter, writing was on the wall for a while. The conclusion felt even worse than Super Smartphone and I can't imagine the volume ending will be better

It's a double-edged sword for sure. Some stories need a slow pace in order to be told effectively, but Jump strongly discourages this sort of writing. The result is that way too many stories try to go for the jugular right away, and many end up feeling rushed, or, at worst, every manga feels the same as they all try to go as big as possible early on. |

Can't say I'm surprised. The first three or so chapters were quite frankly just dull. Especially the first chapter had poor structure and not much to really get invested in.
When it slowed down and took on an almost noir-like quality it actually got interesting, so it's unfortunate it ended up like this. The first few chapters honestly smells of poor editorial demands since it's so inconsistent with the chapters where the series actually shines. |

It's funny to see people saying this series' start needed to be slower when it spent over a month of publication with low stakes, low conflict "missions" that amounted to our MC handing out parking citations and giving directions. Aliens Area is the last series I would say had a fast or "rushed" start, and it only started moving at all when it was obvious it was getting cancelled. |

All of the slower stuff was many chapters in. Before that it was rushed yet at the same time hardly did anything. Sloppy worldbuilding, rushed story beats and no real establishment of personal stakes and motivations that would resonate with an audience. The MC's siblings felt more like a plot convenience than actual characters. The slower chapters that came later were considerably better with how they characterized and worldbuilt. |
