I hope they dub the rap battles too. I'm curious to hear how they'd sound in English.

Always love to see JubyPhonic not only get more VA roles, but possibly getting a chance to use her music skills in a dub.

Someone who works for Sentai did ask the crowd at their Anime Expo panel if we’d like them dubbed. Personally, I was part of the “YEAH” crowd and I’m really hoping that influenced their decision somehow ^^;;

Believe it or not I was thinking that Juliet Simmons could be a solid fit for Eiko. I am happy this is the case and look forward to this dub.

I wonder if Juliet Simmons being cast as Eiko is leaning towards them dubbing the songs...

Although I'm an unabashedly lover of dubs I'll do a hard pass on this. I've already watched it twice and I can't imagine doing it any other way but subbed And omg is the opening Ciki Ciki Bam Bam a goddamn earwig!!

Good luck on coming up with alternative rhymes for the rap battles, as you may already know some Japanese words are complicated to translate as of today.
Though I may not be able to fully watch the English dub for disputable reasons and the JP dub sold me more than ever that hopefully P.A. Works greenlit season 2 and beyond, in case they are up on the job on exploring Eiko's journey to Summer Sonia and flesh out the characters who will return in the next arc.
But I guess it wouldn't hurt to check it out and see how they will interpret the dialogues between Kabe & Eiko in episode 8. (Not so much of an agenda, okay? )

If the music is going to be dubbed in English as well, then Juliet Simmons seems like a perfect fit!

Well, Kaguya-Sama's English dub did do that with its rap battle episode--though it did leave Kaguya's brief actual singing in the episode undubbed.

This is one of the best shows of the year so I'm really glad it's being dubbed.
