I'd heard a while back that Blender added full fledged 2D animation tools within 3D space in the last update. I imagine that had something to do with the decision. They created a short film to showcase its capabilities.

It might not, 3D Studio Max is good for rendering really realistic 3D Models/Animations that Blender can't really. But generally for their purposes Blender Render can do anything they need since they're dealing in more "cartoony" kinda stuff that's meant to blend in with with 2D. I will say in that regard blender render can be a bit grainy, which can maybe make a little trouble when combining mediums like they do. I'm interested that they're using unity too though because that's a video game engine. I kinda hope this leads to Autodesk thinking about lowering their prices. If it proved too expensive for the guy who has all that Evangelion money imagine what it's like for average freelancers. |

Yes, the developers of Blender have recently added a couple of very cool features. I haven’t had time to try them yet, but I will definitely try them as soon as I have free time. I have been doing graphic design for a long time, and I really like it. I remember that when I was doing the first projects, it was very difficult for me to render them. And one colleague advised me exactly https://forgehub.net/nebula/blender-render-farm/ this server. It really made my life a lot easier and made my job easier.
