I was hoping for an anime. If it manages to be as entertaining as the books, it is going to be something to look forward to.

Ah, yes, the glorious and wise Mia-sama antics, now in animated form.
That can be quite a fun ride even if they cover only the beginning of the first season, but this also can be a huge hit for TO if they go for the same approach as Bookworm Ascendance. Anyway, by trailer, they keep things as they should and Sumippe totally going wild with her role.

Looking forward to this. I've been enjoying the Japanese audiobooks a lot.

I hope the character animation is on point, because Tearmoon definitely deserves some amazing facial expressions.

By the trailer they certainly showed a couple of comedy gold Mia faces, so Her Smugness is totally in safe hands.

My hope is that they cover at least the first two volumes of the light novel. Will be a good story, and leave things in a slightly satisfying way incase of no season 2, but still leaving the door open for another. If they do end with volume 2, they could possibly tease spoiler[Miabel and the stuff related to her.]

Spreadsheet updated, and this one's a fun one.

I just hope an Apothecary Diaries anime is in the works somewhere. (The Ideal Sponger Life is probably a lost cause; it's roughly as old as Slave Harem, the record-holder for LN-to-anime time, and not as popular.)

I decided to try a few volumes of the novels on a whim a few months back, really loved them and ended up buying all the ones in print that I could (hopefully with an anime coming, the manga comes to print too as I've also been loving it. EDIT: It is coming to print, according to J Novel's website for the manga). Was hoping this would happen, so looking forward to checking it out.

The next level after the Villainess Isekai trend: the Villainous Reset trend.

There are actually a whole bunch of these.

I am glad I am not the only one looking forward to an anime adaptation of the Apothecary Diaries. Given the current sales, I think it is only a matter of time. It may even be greenlit internally already.

The synopsis seems interesting. I will check it out.

Not familiar with it, but sounds like it could be good.

Hopefully that doesn't end up being true for the Ideal Sponger Life. Really enjoy the series myself and wouldn't mind seeing it animated Smile

If this does become a trend I hope we see "My Princess, You Must Die!" Said the Female Knight.

But Mia is not even a villainess (yeah, she is spoiled princess, but basically she did literally nothing wrong beyond just being a spoiled noble teenager and everything that lead to her death were done way further than actions of single person do so essentialy she just got blame-shifted) - let alone it's not even isekai to begin with.

It fits in reincarnation trends, sure - but not in that list.

From what I've heard about this, it seems right up my alley!

Also, Sumire Uesaka's voice here reminds me a heck of a lot of Maaya Uchida's Smol Bakarina voice. It also seems like she was in the Drama CD, so it seems like they're keeping that cast?

If they're gonna keep the same cast, that's gonna be filled a lot with top-level modern seiyuus - so while I hope they do that, I have doubts.

I wonder who will do the narration work though, cause half of a comedy charm of Tearmoon Empire relies on the fact of how much snarky the narrator is to Mia and any of her actions - something close to Kaguya-sama narration, but gone up to twelve with the amount of ham.
