Not really sure there's enough material left in this arc for four episodes, let alone a 1 hour finale, unless they decide to go for broke and inmediately adapt everything up to Sarjo's introduction

You underestimate the length of the chapters of village arc, people were worrying 4 episodes weren't enough for rest of the arc without rushing things up, now with basically another episode added pacing makes sense

It does seem that there's not much left. Looks like there are 9 chapters left to adapt of this arc, plus two extra chapters from the volume releases they could include. Extra chapters aside, that puts the episodes at a little less than 2 chapters each.
I wouldn't be surprised if they decided to adapt a bit past this arc. There was a bit of down time before they moved on to their next adventure that might be a good "epilogue" to the season.

I think that episode 12 will end with some kind of cliffhanger and after the credits roll season 3 will announced for airing next year.

Ah, so I won't just want to cry and write a mean post about MiA after the watch dispirits me, I'll also want to huddle under my desk and hide for a week. Looking forward to it.

I didn't know that. I guess it will take a while for the manga to have enough content to do more anime.

Maybe they will have some Anime only content, which if done right I wouldn't mind.

Ilblu arc took 4 years for the manga to cover. It really WILL take a while before we're joining Riko & Co on another adventure after this...

If there are big action scenes and set-pieces or emotional moments that involve a lengthier sequence coming up, then I imagine it'd naturally take up more run-time to depict than when reading panels in a manga.

The game is going to be at least mostly new characters, and the manga definitely introduces enough side characters near the surface that they could easily make a season of all (or mostly) original content focusing on them.
