Oshi no ko is a day 1 purchase for me. Surprised yen press got it, I figured seven seas would grab it since they tend to get the more mature Shueisha stuff

Honestly surprised they got Oshi no Ko since mangaplus was already doing a release for it. Curious if they doing their own translations or new ones for it.

Oh. Hell. Yes. No question I'm buying my favorite ongoing series in print. I mean, I've been reading the Viz releases of Kaguya-sama, and we all know it's pretty damn great, right? Just the other day, three ANN writers named Ultra Romantic their best anime of the last season and two named it their runner-up, so I'm confident we're on the same page there. So you know I'm not speaking lightly when I say that Oshi no Ko is Aka Akasaka's best manga. Also, while I haven't read Honey Lemon Soda myself, going by the Oricon charts I've seen, I think it might technically be the most popular shoujo manga in Japan right now? (Though if you add in josei, Do Not Say Mystery is more popular.) So if you're into that side of things, could be worth checking out.
I'm confident in saying they're not reusing the Media Do script. No disrespect to the translators working under an insanely rushed schedule, but it's not up to quality standards for a US license. Last edited by Shay Guy on Fri Jul 01, 2022 2:55 pm; edited 1 time in total |

I kinda wish Yen Press would continue publishing the two last manga volumes of Maoyu.

Makes sense, and I agree the translations from them weren't the greatest. |

No, Ize Press is Yen's new imprint for Korean content, they didn't license them from Ize, they are going to be released under that label. |

Fruits Basket Another, concludes, Oshi no Ko finally gets licensed, One Week Friends if it were more explicitly a romance and only had one day, K-On, and a popular Shojo title!

I remember reading a couple of random scans of Honey Lemon Soda, and I enjoyed what I read at that time, so I'll definitely consider picking up the physical English volumes! I'm also super happy to know of a physical release date for The Remarried Empress; I was really excited when that was first announced, having loved reading it on Webtoon. I know that's not related to manga, but I'm just super excited.
Shy also seems kinda interesting. Might give that a look-through and debate if that's worth collecting. The art is rather nice, at least on the cover. |

The manga "Apparently, Disillusioned Adventurers Will Save the World" is getting an anime series, according to TV Tropes.
