They're not a perfect couple, but the two a certainly perfect for each other.

I can't believe no mention for how caring the evil organization was when Fudo got appendicitis. I mean they sent him flowers with the message:

They also have excellent employee policies. No wonder Desumi's family is so Gekko-all-the-way!

I don't usually watch romantic comedies but the premise of the show caught my attention and so far I'm enjoying it quite a bit. Fudo and Desumi do make a nice couple, and I also love those references to the clichés of Tokusatsu shows, but still, I need to see a Gelato 5 Mega Zord now.
I actually find it quite funny and ironic that in the Neutral Spanish dub Desumi's voice actress (who also voices Asuka in Evangelion and Nami in One Piece) voiced the Pink Samurai Ranger while Fudo's voice actor (who voices Legoshi in Beastars and Hol Horse in JoJo) voiced Heckyl, one of the villains in PR Dino Charge, seems like the roles have been reversed. Also in that dub, the narrator is Adam from the original Mighty Morphin and the Gelato's Morpher is Zordon. I don't know if the dubbing team knowingly chose them as reference but Gelato Green shares his voice with Leo Colbert from Lost Galaxy (his voice actor also voiced Sesshomaru and Levi), and Culverin Bear is Bulk. |

Between the awkward love of My Dress-Up Darling, the pure love of LAWD, and the golf-girl love of Birdie Wing, my recent anime viewings have all been very romance intensive and absolutely worth every minute spent watching these couples.
Also a detail I love about Fudo in LAWD is the glasses he wears in his "civilian" identity. I don't know if it's on purpose or not, but it gives him a very Clark Kent vibe and I'm digging that. And ditto everything said about the show in the column. Fudo and Desu are fantastic to watch, the animation is great, the cast is fun, and I can't wait for each new episode. This and Birdie Wing are tied for my biggest (pleasant) surprise of the season. Is the manga online-only? There are no physical editions of it in the US, are there? |

It is digital only, but Kodansha has been known to release print editions of digital series later on (probably those that do well enough digitally?). I too hope that there will be physical editions in the future; this series sounds adorable. |
