I think the reference with the white headband could also reference Deku from My Hero Academia during the Sports Festival arc. That's the vibe I got. But glad you got the Tokoyami one. Lol it was pretty cute.

Mad props to the Chargers PR team. The vid even had a proper anime themesong as well.

It’s no coincidence that this is my favorite team!

Appreciate the time taken to note all of these! Didn't catch nearly enough myself, but loved it nonetheless - even better now knowing the jokes I missed! Not sure if I should be happy or upset that my team isn't playing the Chargers this year and therefore wasn't included, lol.

"Redacted On Advice From Our Lawyers" with a nice rainbow scene for the Cleveland Browns - that's some shade for a massacre
For the more sports-inclined, the Dallas Cowboys pulled off a schedule reveal starring Stephen A. Smith (for those who don't know, he's a notorious Cowboys hater everywhere he can get himself on a screen ) |

No. Stephen is not a Cowboy's hater. He's a Cowboy's Fans hater. There's a difference. He respects the players and hates the fans. Which is completely understandable as there's not many more obnoxious fanbases hanging onto their glory days than the Cowboys who haven't been relevant in damn near 2 decades. |

Oh man, that was awesome. I don't follow sports so I didn't get 90% of the non-anime jokes, so I'm really appreciative that you explained them all! Also kudos to the Chargers for putting in so many multi-layered gags and not just going for easy references.
One that you missed, though:
When Staley smashes the panel reading "go for it," that's a reference to King of Braves Gaogaigar, where in each episode someone at headquarters always had to smash a glass panel to access the button which activated the title mech's Final Fusion ability. Also, I'm shocked that they made this entire football anime video without a single Eyeshield 21 reference. |

Visual aid for the pack full of sports and anime references:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KgsAnmQSu_I https://ftw.usatoday.com/lists/chargers-schedule-release-anime-video-references-nfl The Chargers staff only had about a month to do this (although they had an idea who the teams they'd be playing)
The "Go For It" quote due to the Chargers coach known for being aggressive on many 4th Downs going for it (instead of punting), particularly against the Chiefs and coach Andy Reid (who's known for his appetite, ergo the food in his cockpit) |

Perfect. No notes.
Reportedly, they animated this all in-house. |

animated it all in house from copying line art, literally says so on twitter. would be more admirable if it wasn't borderline plagiarism.
