My only message to the studio adapting it:

I'm both excited and scared. Will wait for the staff to be announced.

The art in this manga is going to be hard to translate to animation. I don't envy the character designer's job, trying to simplify the character designs for animation.
Plus: elaborate backgrounds.
Gosh, their clothes alone!

Oh, cool. I've been trying to read this for ages, but for all the great things I've read about the manga it could just never keep my attention - not the manga's fault, btw, it's probably all on me. But now I'll have the next best thing, I guess.

Like those who posted before me, I'm excited about the series getting an anime, but trepidations about the execution. Witch Hat is similar to Berserk in that part of what makes it special is that art style and detail in everything. Anime inherently simplifies things so as to not kill its animators, so I worry that part of that magic will be lost when it inevitably gets streamlined. Some of the background detail could certainly be augmented with the improved CG of the day, but we've all seen CG done poorly and if its used on the characters it could Destroy the show.
All in all I'm like, 60% excited 40% nervous and will remain that way until we get more information about who's actually doing this.

I would say I'm "interested" in the series, but not particularly passionate about it. It feels like there will eventually be big, exciting revelations about the world and the characters, but that they're years and years away, which I think can make it somewhat less of a must-read than the lavish artwork would indicate.

I've been sorta curious about this series, but every time it's mentioned I've never seen any mention about the characters. It's usually about the art or world building.

Drifting Dragons was another art-heavy manga that managed an okay translation to animation (though others may disagree --- I seem to be pretty accepting and uncritical when it comes to animation).
And, well, Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind.

I've heard really good things about this manga, but I also know the art work is gorgeous. Hopeful it's done justice!
