While I'm happy to see GBO2 come to PC, it's a shame that per a Steam blog post, they announced that it will not have a cross-play and it will not have cross-save. Meaning that if you've been pouring a lot of time into on PS4 or PS5, none of that will carry over if you decide to move platforms. And not having cross-play won't help the games player count. And they seemed to pin all of this on having a separate PC team who is also on a separate development schedule, as a result of which new updates will hit the PC version a bit later than on consoles.

This appears to be the case with Gundam Evolution as well.

With Sony, MS, and Nintendo each allowing cross play, the time for platform-siloed online gaming being passable is over.

At the very least, it spreads the player base too thin.

Unless it’s a very mainstream popular game like Call of Duty or Rocket League, I don’t think you can afford not to have cross play. And even then, games like Call of Duty often ended up with one dominant platform while the others died more quickly (until it went cross play, of course).

I know a number of people who are absolutely convinced the PC port will get hacked to hell and back, with the MS/camera turn sensitivity being the most basic one that hackers would go after.

The sensitivity is actually intentionally limited between different units as part of the gameplay and balancing, and there are parts you can equip to both speed up or slow down your turn rate, though I'm sure most people don't use them in the PS version.
