That's awesome that they're subbing it! I might check it out now!
Nobuhiro Mori? He's done a lot of tokusatsu work.

YES PLEASE
I'd LOVE to watch more stageplays, but most of them are simply inaccessible remotely. Like, I went and saw the sailor moon stageplays when they were shown in theaters in America. The desire and money is there if they want to slap some subs on it!

Same here. I would love to support some stage shows. Not that I think this will start a trend or something but hey, one is better than none.

I'm so happy an article was made about this! Thank you! <3 I was hoping mentioning the livestream would help it reach even more people who maybe don't follow 2.5D or may not have known that this particular show was going to be livestream for international audiences. Avex so far has been consistent with livestreaming their stage plays with Paradox Live being the first back in September and Ouran this last month. I'm crossing my fingers subtitles will start becoming more common, but I'll happily take streams just being more accessible overseas.
If anyone is interested, one of the TouMyu shows was officially uploaded with subs on youtube by The Japan Foundation. Subtitles include Japanese, English, Chinese (traditional and simplified), French, Spanish, and Russian. Highly recommend this show. It's really beautiful and the live portion is very https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZHMjHS0ElC8

Wow, I don't follow that franchise or anything but this is interesting to know. The pandemic has really forced some Japanese company to move their products online.

Basically since the pandemic, companies in charge of stage play productions have resorted to doing livestreams to help bring in extra cash. Especially when they had to limit capacity in the theater. I've been able to watch so many shows thanks to this as well as help support the industry.
Pre-pandemic, many shows are available to rent on sites like DMM, but I believe they weren't available until well after a show's run was over to watch it. And again, not all shows have that option. Livestreaming and archives/delays started during the pandemic and so far any show I've been wanting to watch has had it available (now whether I could watch or not because of region-locking is another story). I'm hoping it stays.
Theater Complex is also another site like DMM where you can rent shows and they also have a monthly subscription.

Yeah, that is the big question if they are going to stay. I suppose since it is based on revenue, the ones made money will likely stay, the ones didn't won't.
